It was my love of writing and storytelling that first led me to a career in digital marketing. I bring over a decade of experience as a professional writer, with a portfolio that spans copywriting, long-form journalism, and everything in-between. I have worked with B2C, B2B, and nonprofit organizations, and I love crafting content tailored to each brand’s unique voice.
My writing is backed by a strong foundation in SEO, ensuring every piece is not only engaging but also strategic. With academic training in English and creative writing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as multiple writing awards under my belt, I combine creativity with precision in everything I produce.
I’m highly proficient in a range of email marketing platforms, including Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Pardot, and others. I’m experienced in managing the full lifecycle of email campaigns—from audience segmentation and content creation to automation setup and performance analysis.
I’ve planned, created, and executed a variety of campaign types, including newsletters, drip sequences, donor stewardship series, and event promotions. Whether the goal is engagement, conversion, or retention, I approach each campaign with a strategic mindset to meet audience needs and organizational goals.
I’ve conceptualized, written, designed, and implemented landing pages for hundreds of sites across a wide range of industries. My experience spans multiple content management systems, including WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, and more. I’m also proficient in Divi and basic HTML. I have a strong foundation in SEO and an eye for UX to ensure that every page is optimized for performance and accessibility.
In summer 2024 I spearheaded the full revamp of www.heartsandhorses.org, overseeing everything from sitemap development and content creation to SEO strategy and project management. I collaborated closely with a team of web developers to bring the vision to life, resulting in a site that’s both visually engaging and highly functional.
I’m highly skilled across all major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Pinterest. From organic strategy to paid campaigns, I thrive on creating visually compelling, story-driven content that connects with audiences. I’m also fluent in Meta Business Suite, Buffer, and Canva and am adept at scheduling, tracking, and optimizing content for performance.
In my most recent role as Communications Manager at Hearts & Horses, I managed all social media accounts (Facebook: 9.3k followers; Instagram: 2.2k), and led a full-scale strategy overhaul that transformed modest engagement into exponential growth, including traffic and reach increases of over 6,000% across both platforms since May 2022.
In today’s visual-first landscape, video is one of the most powerful tools for boosting SEO, increasing conversions, and capturing audience attention. That’s why video content has become a cornerstone of my work. I’ve storyboarded, scripted, edited, and conducted interviews for a wide range of client videos, from promotional pieces to donor thank you’s, always with an eye toward storytelling and strategic impact.
I’m proficient in tools like iMovie, Adobe Premiere Rush, and Canva, and skilled at producing videos that are both visually engaging and on-brand. I understand how to tailor content for different platforms and audiences, ensuring each video feels fresh, relevant, and impactful. From short-form social clips to longer narrative pieces, I love bringing ideas to life.
Even in today’s digital landscape, print still holds powerful potential—especially when it’s thoughtfully designed and well-written. I have extensive experience creating a wide range of print materials, including flyers, annual reports, evergreen brochures, recruitment materials, year-end appeal letters, and more.
I have worked in both Canva and Adobe InDesign to design and produce polished collateral from concept to completion. Whether it’s a donor-facing direct mailer or a community event flyer, I create print pieces that feel cohesive, compelling, and designed for maximum impact.
